Digital Media

My process involved distorting old photographs through digital media while incorporating scans of the original film to explore themes of memory, time, and transformation.

I began by carefully scanning negatives and prints, preserving their natural imperfections such as scratches, grain, and fading. Using digital editing techniques, I then manipulated these image s through layering, blurring and altering colours. This combination of analog and digital methods allowed me to reinterpret the original photographs, transforming them into new visual narratives that question the reliability of memory. Through distortion, I aimed to capture how time reshapes both our recollections and the physical materials that hold them.
