Cyanotype

Exploring forgotten childhood objects, once cherished but now tucked away and forgotten. I wanted to reconnect with their hidden histories and transform them into visual artifacts that evoke nostalgia and memory. I chose the cyanotype process for its tactile, experimental nature and its distinctive blue tones, which echo the sense of fading time.

After creating the cyanotype prints, I experimented with toning techniques to alter the blue hues, giving the pieces a more aged and weathered appearance. This turning familiar, once-played-with objects into delicate traces of the past. Throughout the process, I focused on the relationship between memory, material, and emotion, using light, texture, and tone to preserve the fleeting essence of childhood within a contemporary artistic form.
